Charity Support – RIPPLE Africa
aZtec are extremely proud of their support for the locally based charity RIPPLE Africa. The charity was founded in 2003 and works to improve the education and local environment in Malawi. It was founded by our chairman Geoff Furber and his wife Liz. The projects that they undertake are all based in Nkhata Bay District in northern Malawi in Africa.
The charity’s main focus is to empower communities so they can achieve a sustainable future. RIPPLE Africa strongly believes that local people are the solution to many of the challenges they face as a community. To this end, every project RIPPLE Africa runs is a proactive response to the community’s needs, by giving the local people the tools to change their environment and therefore their lives.
RIPPLE Africa believes in empowering the local people of Malawi to manage the projects which affect their individual and family lives for the better. RIPPLE Africa only employs Malawian nationals to work on their projects ‘on the ground’ as it is directly affecting them and they know what needs to happen.
RIPPLE Africa has over 2,000 people working on their projects and every single one of them is immensely passionate about the charity and its activities. This is what makes RIPPLE Africa what it is – an enthusiastic, effective charity that is great to work for. To find out more follow this link.
